Friend, did you know that this is World Week for Animals In Laboratories? Hundreds of millions of animals suffer and die in laboratories each year in unnecessary experiments. APNM is working to promote human-relevant, non-animal methods and we support the FDA Modernization Act for that reason.

It's Time To Pass the FDA Modernization Act!

The FDA Modernization Act would eliminate the 80-year-old FDA rule requiring drug developers to conduct testing on animals. The bill would give researchers the freedom to use non-animal, human-relevant methods.

Not only are animal lives wasted in outdated experiments, but incredible amounts of time and money, including your federal tax dollars, are wasted too. It takes at least 10 years and $1 billion to bring a new drug to market and yet 90% of all new drugs fail in humans after being tested on animals.

That high failure rate inflates the price of the few successful drugs, and those inflated costs are passed on to consumers—like YOU!—through health insurance premiums.

Will you take action to save millions of animals' lives?
